Velocity Switch Points

Your Zendrum© has a feature called "velocity switching" which allows you to set up 4 different notes/instruments per trigger pad. So as you play softer to louder, the note values change.

Without Zendrum Studio, you were able to turn velocity switching on for a trigger, but it would always use the next three consecutive note numbers. So for instance if a trigger uses note #36 and you turned switching on, then it would split the velocity range (0-127) into four areas and play notes 36, 37, 38 or 39 depending on how hard you hit it.

Zendrum Studio expands on this feature by letting you choose exactly which 4 notes to use, meaning you're not limited to just the 4 consecutive ones. It also allows you to pick the points at which the velocity values cause a note change.

The controls to set the switch points is located within the Velocity Switch Points preferences pane, which can be found at the bottom-center portion of the screen.

Zendrum Studio lets you customize the switch points

By utilizing the sliders beneath the graph, the app allows you to set precisely at which velocity values the notes should switch. Each Setup can have it's set of values for these, but be aware that there is no way to set it for individual triggers.

By using the "Apply to ALL setups" option, you can have your changes apply only to the current setup or to all 16.
